Ritual Table
(Prototype Design Phase)

Ritual Table is a prototype design for the final puzzle in the Entertainment Technology department's Escape Room Project. This project utilizes five RFID readers to detect the placement of five designated target items. Successful placement of all items in their correct positions triggers the illumination of a candle bar featuring five candles(light bulbs), signifying the puzzle's resolution. Each target item corresponds to a specific candle, which lights up upon correct placement. If a target item is placed incorrectly, all candles will flash rapidly as a visual cue.

This prototype design phase showcases the comprehensive application of RFID technology, microcontroller programming, low-voltage control of high-voltage components, and intricate circuit design within an engaging and challenging puzzle environment, enhancing the escape room experience with a blend of technology and intrigue.

Key Technologies:

  • RFID Readers and Tags

  • Microcontroller Programming (including animation control)

  • Low-Voltage Control of High-Voltage Components

  • Circuit Design

Project Outcomes:

  • Successfully implemented a prototype RFID-based object detection and feedback system.

  • Designed and implemented a prototype low-voltage control circuit for high-voltage components, validating system safety and reliability.

  • Completed the overall prototype circuit design, validating stable system operation.

  • Created a challenging and interactive final puzzle prototype for the escape room, featuring a dynamic illumination animation.
